Polar Bear Swim!

DIVE!

Polar Ballet

These were some shots I got at the Pittsburgh Zoo last Friday. I was so excited to get to see the polar bear swimming. He seemed to really enjoy his morning dip and I'm loving these pictures.

My first wedding: Renee and Chad

All right for all of you who have been patiently awaiting. Here's the first shot up and on the web from my first adventure in wedding photography! Aren't they a cute couple and so sweet! Of course there had to be rain for the outdoor wedding but fortunately, we were all on a covered patio. And I think I've heard something about rain being good luck for weddings :-)

I learned so much that day and am now even more greatful for the new camera- it was a huge blessing to have the second lense as well as the second camera! A great experience and while I won't say I'm never doing another wedding again, I will say that I won't be advertising myself as a wedding photographer.

Back to editing- more pictures will be up soon.

Prom - Sneak Peek

Had to add a couple more. These were taken at the gazebo in downtown Derry, PA. A pretty little spot and I thought the red trees looked so nice with HJ's dress.

It's been a long couple of days but I had to get this one up. Yesterday was Derry's prom and I got to snap some shots of my cousin as she got ready for her evening out. She's all grown up and so pretty! Sadie and Caleb both talked all evening about HJ going to the ball.

More to come in the next few days!

New Camera!

Well, I had a very blessed Mother's Day with some wonderful gifts that arrived during the week. With business continuing to grow, I was finally able to lovingly persuade my business manager/darling husband to help me invest in a new camera. I'm happy to now have a Canon 50D and it's amazing. It came bundled with a Canon 18-200mm IS lens. Of course, my new toys arrived in the middle of spring rains so I wasn't able to get too many shots in until the sky cleared. Fortunately, things cleared up on Friday and I was able to take it to the park and snap a couple of shots of the kids.

Thank you all for your continued support and be checking back- I'll be posting prom pics and some wedding shots next week. I have a busy weekend ahead!

In the Park

April just flew by if you ask me. I can't believe we're already into May. Well, it's even harder to believe if you go by our weather- it's been definitely a dreary start with lots of rain and little sunshine.

It's probably better that way. After a week away visiting with family, coping with ear infections and tick bites, I need some inside time to focus on photos and getting caught up with all the little things.

Here are a couple of shots from a recent session in Highland Park. If you've never been there, it's a beautiful spot with lots of interesting locations for pictures. The only challenge is that it can be pretty bright when the sun actually decides to show herself in Pittsburgh.

This was my second time photographing these sisters and they were very sweet.
