April Showers

Yesterday was a bit of a rainy day but the sun came out for a bit and I was able to convince Sadie to go for a walk with me (of course, I just happened to have my camera). It was fun but she was a little disappointed at doing all that walking and not getting to go to the playground. I owe her a special trip this week.

I've always wanted to get a shot of one of the kids wishing on a dandelion and finally got it yesterday :-)





This graffiti wall is sooo cool! I used it for my cousin's sr pics last year but I'm thinking of doing another shoot with both monkeys at the wall in the near future.




This face is just priceless! I couldn't get her to smile naturally at all (she was so moody all day yesterday) but I love this anyways.

This time my photo was for the macro category. This is a cactus I found last month while visiting Phipps Conservatory. I loved the deep purple leaves and the glowing center. I just happened to be there shortly after the were watered and got to catch the water drops on it as well. I only wish I would have paid attention to the name of this cactus to be able to add that but oh well...

I never expected to have POTD 2 days in a row. How cool is that! :-)

I was so excited to get this notification! This is my second POTD and my first for the People category.

This was taken last Sunday while out at my mom's for Easter. Sadie was in her Easter dress and knowing her, the tennis shoes suited her more than dress shoes. I was right. She spent most of the afternoon running around the yard with her brother and being a real Tom-boy. I was so happy to be able to capture the fancy dress with the fun tennis shoes and her pose just adds sweetness to the whole shot. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite pictures and I'm so glad to see it recognized.

New Maternity/Newborn Package!!

Spring is the time to celebrate new life and I happen to have some close friends who are anticipating additions to their families in the next few months. Spring Blossoms

Spring has finally arrived in Pittsburgh and we're so happy to have it here. I had to take the opportunity to share some spring blossoms I captured on a recent trip to Phipps Conservatory. This was my first spring time visit there and it was wonderfully. An entire room filled with hyacinths (my favorite spring flowers) needless to say, I loved the smell :-)
