Sondra & Wes - engaged

I've been wanting to work with more adults lately but haven't had many opportunities. It seems that many adults, myself included, suffer from severe camera-shyness. While I love filling my website and blog with adorable little ones, as an artist, I like variety. So when I learned over facebook that a classmate of mine was engaged, I quickly sent her a message offering to do engagement photos for them.

We met up in Schenley Park near the ice rink and overlooking the city just before sunset. It was beautiful and they were such a sweet couple!

Good Sports

I got to do my first "urban" shoot with a great family that I know from church. Mom wanted shots of her boy and girl but wanted more of a city feel instead of just sticking to the parks so we met at Schenley Plaza and walked around Oakland stopping at the fountain, the library and of course, the remaining wall of Forbes Field.

Such good looking kids and they were so pleasant even though I had them hiking quite a bit. It was a really fun shoot and I hope I get the opportunity to do it again!

He's One!

Finally catching up on my blog. June has been quite a busy month but I love it- getting to meet new clients and to revisit some that I haven't seen in a year. I love what I do and feel so blessed to be able to share it with others!

Here's a little guy I got to photograph just before his first birthday. He was the happiest little guy and always ready with a pose and a look.

And a few different shots-

CANCELED----Mini-Session Morning: Daisies

Sorry, Due to the rain this morning, I'm going to have post-pone the mini-session. It's funny, when looking at the forecast last week, I specifically chose this day because it had the least likely chance of rain. Guess the weathermen can't get it right all the time.

Baby H!

A good friend recently had baby #4 and I was so excited to be able to have the opportunity to take pictures of this little one. So Memorial Day morning, I was at their house and ready to start. This little one was so adorable and for the most part pleasant. Dad was holding her when I got there and I loved that he whipped a hair brush out of his pocket to fix her hair for the session. Too sweet!

We did a few shots on the front porch and then went inside for a bit. Then we went up to big sister's room and that was the magic room. Pale pink walls perfect for the little pink bundle to curl up in and that's what she did. But I did still manage to get a couple shots with her 2 older sisters and her big brother.

I hope you enjoyed these too!

Mini-Session Morning: Daisies :-)

WHEN: Tuesday, June 15 (9:30-11:45)

How would you like to have some beautiful shots of your child/children in a field of daisies? Well, there's a little hillside next to Bartlett Playground (in Schenley Park) that is full of white daisies(a photographer's dream) and I thought it would make an ideal location for a morning of mini custom photography sessions. The session will cost $30 and you will get a 20-30 minute photo session in the daisies and then 5-8 retouched photos in your own private online gallery (prints are not included). For an additional $25 you can purchase a gift CD of your session with high resolution digital files and rights to print up to size 8x10. You can add the CD at any time.

Space is limited to first come, first served- or in this case email me asap and I'll put together a list. I'll start shooting at 9:30 and wrap up at 11:30. Click the link to visit my website and check out my gallery!
