Snow Minis!

SNOW!!

Actually I had to pull this picture is from last January.  I discovered over the weekend that both of my monkeys have outgrown their snow boots and snow pants so we haven't had a chance to get out and play yet but we will very soon. :-)

Anyways, that cold stuff has fallen from the sky and coated everything in a lovely white blanket and it looks like more will be coming soon. I thought this would be a perfect time to offer a mini session special to snap some pics of your little snow bunnies enjoying the snow.  This is going to be a quick, fun session.  We can build a snow man, make some snow angels, and even toss some snowballs (but not at the camerawoman) ;-)  This could be a great opportunity to start off your 2013 scrapbook.  There will be minimal posing and much encouraging of silliness.    Also, we can stay bundled in coats, hats, gloves and scarves or brave the cold in colorful sweaters.  The important thing is to have fun!

What?  A mini session out in the snow for up to 4 people. This will be a 20-30 min. session with a gallery of 10-15 images to choose from when you're done.
When?  The month of January or for as long as the white stuff lasts :-)
How much? $75 and 25% discount on all print orders.

There are limited spots so contact me with your preference of weekday vs weekend and then bundle up!!

October in the Park

Have I mentioned how much I love these families that book sessions with me?  Well, first of all, I'm completely aware of all the options that you have out there- Sears, Target, Picture People, shoot and burn photographers, as well as established photographers.  You can even try to do it yourself.  There's so much competition in this business so I am genuinely thankful when a family chooses me to capture images of their family and I'm doubly thankful when they come back to me year after year.

I met this family last year and loved getting to know them so I was really excited when they contacted me again this year.

We decided to meet in Schenley Park and they surprised me with a really cool prop- binoculars!  Such a great idea.  Shaun, you are brilliant!  The little guy loved exploring with his binoculars and they made for some cute images.

How can you not smile at that face!

Such a loving family.

Thank you again for choosing me!

The Goose again!!

I love my family, especially my cousins and I love that now I sometimes get to photograph their families.  I've been capturing "the goose" since she was just a few months old and I love it every time we get together.  My cousin and her husband are such great parents.  They make a really sweet family.

This time they came down from Erie and we got to explore one of the parks nearby.  And even better, after pictures there was time to play on the playground with the cousins.

Halloween Baby!

So despite Sandy's best efforts, she did not completely thwart Halloween for us and I was able to take advantage of the beautiful calm before the storm.  The week before Sandy came to town, we had gorgeous sunshine and temps in the 70s (a photographer's dream).  I also didn't happen to have much scheduled during the week so I posted a mini-session offer and got to photograph this adorable little lion.

You might recognize him from a family session we did a few weeks ago and he was just as happy this time around. :-)

Don't let this little frown fool you.  He was all smiles the entire time.  Love this little guy!

And I can't help but also share my two monkeys.  Due to Sandy blowing through, we didn't trick or treat on Halloween but got to go out on the weekend.  Once again, my boy wore his Jedi costume but declaring that this year, he was Anakin.  The little girl opted to dress as a snow princess complete with silver glitter for her hair and pink lipstick.

Princess for a Day!

Every little girl should have an opportunity like this...  I met this family a few years ago, when their oldest was turning 5.  They wanted to have a special photo session to celebrate this big birthday complete with a fancy dress.  I loved the idea and this year when daughter #2 turned 5, they called on me again.

And this time we've added a baby brother to the mix. :-)

Another post!!

Have I mentioned that this is the crazy busy time of year for photographers.  The weather gets cooler, the leaves change, people start thinking about the holidays and BAM! I'm scheduling sessions every week between mid-September until mid-November.  Believe me, I love it.  This is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors, I love the smells, I love an excuse to put our fireplace on :-)

And then I get images like these and I'm loving what I do even more!

I met this family a while ago but first got to photograph little Mr. E back in the early spring (click the link to see how he's grown) and they knew they were going to want fall pictures so I have to admit, I was looking forward to this session.  Such a happy baby boy and a very happy and relaxed mom and dad.  Seriously, how many new moms let their kid chew on a leaf.  Jenny and Matt, you guys rock and Mr. E is so lucky to have parents like you guys!
